Learning Destinations are places where children can 'travel to' with their "Passport to Learning". They provide high-quality activities and experiences and have passed the Children's University simple quality assurance process or validation.
Learning Destinations can range from local clubs and societies to places of interest like museums, theatres and day-trip attractions, as long as the learning activity connects with the studies that you can undertake at University.
Membership is free. We just need to register you to become a learning destination, and we're happy to visit you to talk through the opportunities.
Participation in the South Hertfordshire Children's University promises to drive up the attendance of young people and their families.
Can you expect footfall and spend to increase? Almost certainly, but more than anything it's about adding new excitement to the best days of young people's lives.
As a registered Children's University learning destination, you will also have higher public awareness. You'll be featured on our website as a place to visit and linked online with National and local websites.
Don't miss out, take part
We're talking to more and more schools and organisations that want to take part. We currently have a growing number of schools across South Hertfordshire and our list is growing all the time.
There are an increasing number of Learning Destinations signing up ranging from museums and theatres, sports clubs and local places of interest including:
- St Albans and Verulamium Museums
- St Albans Cricket and Athletics Clubs
- Saracen's Sports Foundation
- Watford Central Leisure Centre
- Watford Museum
- Watford Palace Theatre
- Cubs and Brownies packs across South Hertfordshire
